Two of my sisters are done with the 3rd book, I think one niece is still in the 2nd book, another niece in the 3rd book, and my mom is in the 2nd book. I think I may have mentioned this, but people seem to find it funny that we girls (in my family) are already planning a girls night out in 2 yrs, when the movie comes out!
I completed Twilight today... and now I am onto New Moon.
I just can't currently borrow the book from anyone in my family, because two of my nieces are reading New Moon as we speak. But my sister made the mistake of telling me that I can get the full series (or up to date) in hardbound at Costco for $10 each. So, very soon I am making a trip to Costco. Can't wait to get into New Moon, esp after reading the first chapter of New Moon (which is at the end of Twilight) as well as on the website.
I love this book, this series because you feel so a part of each character. You feel almost what they are feeling. Without the picture on the movie screen, you're still sitting on the edge of your chair waiting to see what is going to happen next. Gasping almost at almost every turn the story takes you. It is incredible! I wish I could write like Stephenie Meyer. She has an incredible talent!
Edward's Version of Twilight.
(If you have not read the first chapter of Twilight, do NOT go to the author's website.) And just some other advice from my sister, don't read more than you have read, because then it will ruin whats to come in the series.
So, I just read it and it was INTENSE. I can totally see Edward's POV in chapter one of Twilight, it is incredible to see the different feelings, the different reactions, to thoughts, the perceptions etc. of Edward & Bella. It makes me think about how much it happens in real life, as it does and creates so many misunderstandings that are truly unnecessary.
I just have to say that I absolutely LOVED reading Edwards in-depth feelings, thoughts, desires - it was intense. And honestly got my pulse going a little more than normal... seriously, you can't get through these chapters w/out a little racing of the heart.
As far as Twilight goes, I have like 6 chapters left or so now. I love it! HUGE fan!!! Looking forward to the movie coming out, and I better slow down a bit on the reading since the 4th book doesn't come out until Fall 2008!!!
Last night I was asked to be in part of the program for our Relief Society's 165th Birthday Program. We had dinner before the program, and then I just stood up along with some other women and shared a fun tidbit of history of the Pioneer women. It was awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Here is some "here and now" info of the Relief Society: March 17 commemorates the 165th anniversary of the organization of the Relief Society. Today more than 5.6 million women ages 18 and older in over 170 countries are members of the Relief Society.Our motto is Charity Never Faileth.

How did you meet your current, or most recent, significant other?
Well, we *officially* met on August 14th 2004 - I was "working" - my volunteer time - with a local tribute band for Pink Floyd - Sons of Nothing @ a gig @ Club Ego's. I was selling their merchandise, as well as getting sign-ups for their site. Dave and I are both friends with Thom & Doran --- and both Thom & Doran are part of the band. Well, Thom plays the guitar and sings, and Doran was doing the special effects. Anyway, Dave was there in support of the band... Doran, Dave and I started talking a bit here and there... and because the shows always lasted very late, and then clean-up of the crew took some time - we we were always hungry after the whole shin dig. So, Doran, Thom, Dave and I met up at Dee's (I think it was Dee's - I remember the place, but it is like a Village Inn) to have some early morning (3 a.m. or so) chow. That night and the next day is when things just started rolling... the next day, I met up with Dave at a park, to watch him fly his stunt kites. And from there on out is history :)
Do you love mystery? You'll love Veronica Mars. Last night after Dave and I watched another episode, we went through all the characters in the show - how they had something to do with one or more the investigations going on. Trying to tie whomever was responsible. I am thinking it must be someone who we would never think of - since that is kind of what it came down to the in 1st season.
Last night DH (Dave) & I were talking about all the "oldie" shows we used
to watch. I thought it was kind of fun talking about it, and said;
"doesn't this make you happy, all those shows!" And he said; "just
makes me realize how much TV I've watched!"
Some of the ones we thought of were: Three's Company, Magnum PI, Dukes
of Hazard, CHIPS, Matlock, Brady Bunch, Mork & Mindy etc. So funny!
